Silktails pre-season building well

New boys on the block for 2020, the Kaiviti Silktails are continuing to put their collective best foot forward in their build up to their debut in the NSW Ron Massey Cup next month.

Pre-season trials against East Blues at Buckhurst Park, Suva, and against a combined “Best from the West” team at the Ba Provincial School Grounds, Lautoka, have given the team solid opposition against which to work on their skills, structure and fitness.

Arguably a sterner test will come this Saturday 29 February, when the Silktails take on P.N.G.’s Kroton Hela Wigmen at Churchill Park in Lautoka in their third and final trial before returning to the venue for their huge Ron Massey Cup debut on Saturday 14 March at 2pm.

Off the field, Silktails management has been busy adding the required infrastructure and training facilities around the team. The Silktails now have access to a fully equipped gym at their official home base at Lautoka, pool recovery at Damodar City Aquatic Centre as well as Churchill Park’s corporate and game day hospitality facilities.
